Aquation has developed a range of chlorophyll fluorescence sensors for outdoor and indoor applications.  Each sensor can be connected to a computer or a stand-alone datalogger.

Shutter Sensor

  • measures Fv/Fm and ΦPSII with automated dark acclimating shutter (user defined dark acclimation interval)
  • uses saturating pulse technique with white LED
  • actinic treatments are user defined (duration and intensity)
  • applies far red light for PSII deactivation
  • waterproof to 50 m
  • inbuilt cosine-corrected PAR sensor
  • inbuilt temperature sensor
  • Several (up to nine) sensors can be combined with the Submersible Datalogger for extended underwater monitoring

USB Standard Sensor (Simple Fluorometer)

  • measures  ΦPSII
  • uses saturating pulse technique with white LED
  • actinic treatments are user defined (duration and intensity)
  • applies far red light for PSII deactivation
  • operated directly from PC using Windows-based fully programmeable software

USB Wireless Sensor (Simple Fluorometer)

  • all features of USB Standard Sensor plus:
  • USB thumb-drive-like transmitter in PC communicates over 30 m (or more on request) to Interface Box
  • Interface Box is 12 V DC powered (mains power or solar panel/battery combination)
  • Cable from Interface Box to Sensor

USB Submersible Sensor

  • all features of USB Standard Sensor plus:
  • Submersible for aquaria use (3 m max) or field (50 m max)

USB Wireless Submersible Sensor

  • all features of USB Standard Sensor plus:
  • features of Wireless Sensor
  • featrures of Submersible Sensor

Handheld Sensor

  • all features of USB Standard Sensor plus:
  • designed for one-handed operation using pistol grip
  • trigger for saturating pulse measurement
  • thmb-operated leaf clip for insertion of leaf
  • PAR sensor (cosine corrected) on flexible stalk
  • Leaf temperature sensor (optional)
  • Cable from pistol grip to Portable Datalogger (worn over shoulder)
