Ecosystem Assessment

Ecosystem health and functioning can be assessed by the measurement of chlorophyll fluorescence is a simple means of studying the photosynthetic capability of a variety of chlorophyll-containing organisms including plants, algae and coral (zooanthids).  The measurements are non- destructive and can be used as an indicator of stresses such as exposure to high nutrient levels or pollutants, desiccation, temperature extremes, heavy metal exposure and high CO2.

Aquation has a range of products for your investigations of ecosystems in marine, freshwater or terrestrial environments.
