Dr John Runcie BSc (Hons), PhD (USyd)
Director (Managing Director and CEO). Technical expertise –chlorophyll fluorescence applications, assessment of marine pollution and water quality, development of scientific instrumentation for underwater applications.
Dr Runcie has worked as a consulting research scientist to government and private industry on projects ranging from the assessment of marine pollution, wheat cultivar performance assessment and coral reef system studies, to determining tree health. He has worked extensively with the Australian Government Antarctic Division and Hawaii Coral Reef Initiative Research program to develop and apply advanced modulated fluorescence techniques to the assessment of coral reefs and marine macroalgae. This work was central to the development of the Aquation Shutter Fluorometer. John is an Honorary Research Associate with the School of Biological Sciences at Sydney University.

Dr King is an anaesthetist operating at various hospitals in NSW. Dr King has interest in the development of haptic systems for use in the medical, military and civil fields, and is the founder of Inovonex Pty Ltd. The main areas of work are in mass-transit site security, IED detection and unmanned vehicle systems.
Dr Tim Charlton PhD (UNSW)
Technical Associate. Technical expertise – anti-fouling coatings and solutions.
Dr Charlton consults for organisations requiring monitoring of biofilm and other fouling, and develops and implements the validation of control and prevention strategies. He has conducted extensive research on quorum signaling compounds in Pseudomonas aeruginosa biofilms, and has over 10 years experience in biofilm analysis and control technologies, with specialist interest and expertise in the micro-organisms on surfaces and environmental sustainability. Dr Charlton is the Principal of AquaFirma Solutions (http://www.aquafirma.com.au/).
